Most athletes spend 100% of their time focused on improving physically. Many overlook the importance of the mental game.

Typical Mental Performance training will not give you much of an edge these days. 

It will merely help you be like everyone else. As of 2020 all NBA teams required a mental performance coach to be available to athletes. Other leagues have similar rules. So doing simple mental performance will keep you competitive but it won't give you a true advantage. Everyone is now doing mental performance.
